Now that you know some of the places to find on-line information about authors , choose an author whose books you have read and enjoyed and do the following:

think of a list of questions you would like to ask them

design a way of noting down the information you find out

look at the covers of some of their books to see what you can find out about them

use the author sites you have already visited too see if you can gather together some more information

use a search engine to see if there are any other sites with details about their lives and the books they have written

collect together what you've found out, then design a page or series of pages where you can display some of the biographical details about your chosen author (you could include pictures and photographs, and even sound if you complete your presentation on the computer using multimedia software)

publish your work in your classroom, or as a multi-media presentation on a computer or on your school web-site so that other pupils can find out about the author too.
