The wind was so strong that we thought the hotel was going to fall down. The sea was crashing, coconuts were flying off the trees and we were confined to the hotel. All I can say is I am glad we were in a proper building rather than a local shack!!
We were stranded there for an extra day but were of course much luckier than the people who died and all the ones who were missing.
