Page 4The glacier walk was set for the following day. We had to wear special boots with built in crampons on the bottom to stop us from slipping and falling down crevasses. The glacier was amazing and we were lucky with the weather which was sunny. The snout of the glacier looked really dirty because of the glacial till, but as we continued towards the middle of the glacier it became cleaner and the most beautiful blue colour.
The whole walk was amazing and took 7 hours altogether. I was so glad to have a ride in Serena's back pack on the way back, there were so many places you could have fallen without the proper equipment on your feet.
