The next morning we travelled on to Franz Josef via Ross, an old gold mining town, where we had a demonstration of 'Gold Panning'.
When we arrived at Franz it was snowing, but that didn't stop Serena going ahead and booking us on the Glacier Walk and a Tandem Sky dive!On Wednesday morning a car picks us up and takes us to the airfield. Serena is dressed in a red and black jumpsuit with harness and I am tucked in at the front. Twenty minutes later we are 12,000 feet high and about to do our Tandem Skydive. I don't know about Serena but I was terrified!! I kept worrying that she would land on me but luckily she was attached to the instructor and he guided us down. During all this time another instructor called Rod is standing on the wheel of the plane hanging on to the wing with a camera on his head. He is waiting for us to jump!! That was quite an experience!!
