The train journey over the Southern Alps had spectacular scenery. The mountains were covered in thick snow yet it was really sunny. We travelled over Arthur's Pass and through a long tunnel down to Greymouth.
Tomorrow I am catching the Trans Alpine railway to Greymouth on the west coast, so we are hoping for good weather. Serena has even promised to buy me something 'Kiwi' instead of my Aussie jumper!
