Getting ready
For this month's activity, it would be useful to have some brochures to look at. You might even have some at home from places you've visited or trips you've been on. Tourist Information Centres are good places for brochures, if you haven't any of your own.
On the Lookout
Look closely at the brochures....
- how are they set out?
- how many pictures/photographs are there?
- how much writing is there and how is this combined on the page with the pictures?
- which tense has been used?
- how are the sentences constructed?
- what type of vocabulary has been used?
