Tiananmen
Square was our next visit and this is where we saw the embalmed
body of Chairman Mao draped in a red flag in a crystal coffin.
We travelled
to Xian from Beijing and this took 14 hours but it was worth
it to see the Terracotta Warriors, which were discovered
in 1974.

Terracotta
Warriors
The
Warriors were built to guard the tomb of the Emperor. They
were never supposed to be seen but after their discovery,
8000 of them were excavated. There are a lot more still
buried along with their horses. All of them are life sized
and were a bit scary for a little bear like me.
