At 4.30am we left camp and headed towards Devil's Marbles for sunrise. These are huge balls of stone that are piled one above the other and look as as though they are about to fall down any minute. They are formed naturally by weathering and are suppose to be the eggs of the Rainbow Serpent according to Aboriginal Culture. The Rainbow Serpent was the one who made the land and the mountains.

We travelled on to Alice Spings stopping at the Tropic of Capricorn on the way and reached Yulara, which is the resort for Ayers Rock, the next day. As we drove up to Ayers Rock we watched the colours change into the most magnificent reds - it was incredibly beautiful.
