Paul Cockram,
Head of ICT at Walkwood Middle School, has recently used part
of the "Columbus" site during the school's Activities
Week both for Language and Literacy development and also for
enhancing presentation and publishing skills in ICT using
Microsoft Publisher. When interviewed after the event Mr.
Cockram said:
"The
week went very well in my opinion, and the children enjoyed
it enormously. I found the site very interesting, well structured
and easy to use. It contains well planned and intersting literacy
activities which offer an ideal starting point for "Text
Level" work.
The children
found it most enjoyable and showed great interest and enthusiasm
throughout the project. Having enjoyed a taster session, they
are looking forward to joining Columbus again for more exciting
adventures."
